Fall Celebration 2017
Thank you for attending Fall CElebration 2016. From the comments of many of the attendees, this has been the best weekend yet. There was certainly a lot to celebrate during the five-day event. Some of you who hadn’t seen our campus in awhile took advantage of our campus walking tours, getting a chance to see, up-close, just how much change and progress has touched our beautiful campus in recent years. Many of you came out to our 2nd annual Thirsty Thursday event, getting a taste of all our terrific vendors that were on site, and that graciously help us provide the most affordable CE event in our profession.
On Friday, those who attended the Plenary session heard President Guy Riekeman, D.C., one of the greatest leaders in the history of Chiropractic, speak about the chiropractic profession from its inception to the challenges that exist today. Many of you attended the Lasting Purpose Pool re-dedication where we unveiled a restored landmark of our institution that is a physical testament to LIFE’s guiding principle of Lasting Purpose: To Give, To Do, To Love, To Serve — Out of a Sense of Abundance. It was a special night for the Classes of 1981 and 1986, who celebrated their 35th and 30th reunions with a great dinner and even more terrific time of fellowship in Socrates Café.
In addition to a line-up of dynamic speakers, Saturday had a rugby game and back-to-back Life U soccer matches. The last match led into the Alumni & Friends Party held at the renovated lower athletic field, now known as Lupo Family Field. It was a truly historic ceremony where Dr. Joe Lupo and his family were honored by the naming of the field, B.J. Palmer’s Cadillac made a grand appearance and the Classes of ’81, ’86, ’91, ’96, ’01, ’06 & ’11 celebrated their reunions. The party was appropriately culminated by a beautiful fireworks display.
We want to give special thanks to those that decided that weekend to help recruit students, make financial gifts and be future class reunion chairs. We have already started to work on next year’s event, and we invite you to join us next year. Save the Date: Wednesday, September 27-Sunday, October 1, 2017. Thank you again!
