Fall Celebration 2017

September 27 - October 1, 2017

Marietta, GA - Life University

To Our 2017 Fall CElebration Attendees

We look forward to hosting you on campus September 27 - October 1 for the 2017 Fall CElebration! Again this year we will have several events on campus—reunions, group meetings and five days of continuing education credits available for the chiropractic and athletic training professions.

Attendance on Saturday continues to grow, so this year we will move the Plenary Session to Saturday morning. This will give more people the opportunity to hear the dynamic program led by Life University President Guy Riekeman, D.C. When Dr. Riekeman finalizes the program, we’ll list the topics here for you.

Another schedule change is that the Alumni Party will move back to Friday evening and be held in Socrates Café. The Café is a great event venue and really captures the energy of the partygoers. The classes of ’92, ’97, ’02, ’07 and ’12 will celebrate their reunions that evening. And while the classmates of ’77, ’82 and ’87 will attend the party, too, they get to hold their special reunion dinner on Thursday evening.

We are bringing the Life University Events app back! About 50 percent of you used the app last year, and the feedback was positive. We will have the app again this year, and most of our communication will flow through the app. Therefore, we will only print class schedules this year, available for pick up at the registration desk.

See you in September!

A Note to our Guests:
Fall CElebration Parking and Transportation

Dear Fall CElebration Guests,

Life University staff and faculty are delighted to have an opportunity to show you some good ol’ southern hospitality again this fall! Our attendance has grown to nearly 1,800 alumni and friends, and we want everyone to know that we strive each year to improve your experience! Thank you for joining us at the most affordable CE event in Chiropractic where you can earn up to 36 CE credits all while having a great time at our many special events and activities when you’re here.

Arriving in Atlanta is usually the easy part – but then you must get around the city and to our campus. Traffic in our area can be very challenging early in the morning, and we want you to be prepared.

Parking Tips and Expectations:

  • - Please be courteous to parking attendants directing traffic! They really are doing their best to help you get where you are going.

  • - There is plenty of parking for everyone on campus, but it may not be right next to the building you are visiting. Arrive early for the best parking options and to avoid rushing.

  • - Download the Life University Events App, so you can receive updates for parking availability.

  • - Observe directional signs throughout campus to locate guest parking.

  • - We have staff and student volunteers in strategic locations along well traveled routes to help direct traffic. Not sure where you’re going, just ask!

  • - There are many area hotels that may offer shuttle service to our campus. If possible, you may take advantage of these and avoid the need to park on campus.

  • - Parking in any space marked “Reserved” will get you towed! “Creating” your own space in a non-designated parking area such as a driveway, curb or on the grass will get you towed even quicker.

  • - We do not wish to tow anyone. EVER! Drivers of vehicles illegally parked will be given 15 minutes after notification sent via the App to move their illegally parked vehicle before being towed at their expense.

LIFE's philosophy on Continuing Education

Based upon a vitalistic approach to health and the correction of the vertebral subluxation complex, LIFE views health care in the following manner:

CONDITION-BASED CARE
Care that is provided to the patient for a specific health issue until that health issue is resolved or stabilized.

CORRECTIVE-BASED CARE
Care that is provided to the patient who either had no specific health issue at entrance or the health issue at entrance was resolved/stabilized by the condition-based care. The corrective-based care phase presumes that the patient has clinical findings consistent with subluxation or another health issue that is asymptomatic but requires correction through the point of maximum possible correction.

WELLNESS DEVELOPMENT-BASED CARE
Care provided to the patient who has minimal or no consistent or persistent clinical findings. Care is provided for the purpose of reaching optimal performance within the aspects of Physical, Emotional, Social, Intellectual, Environmental and Spiritual well-being.

This vitalistic approach to health divides our continuing education offerings into the chiropractic-related courses, and courses whose content is offered through degree programs throughout the University.
